Why this fits the sweetspotThe PLC layer is the last proprietary-hardware monopoly in industrial automation (Siemens/Rockwell/ABB lock-in), and software-defined control is its unbundling moment, the same shift networking went through with SDN. A contested €5.3M seed three months ago puts the A roughly 18 months out; industrial AI needs this substrate, which makes OTee strategic beyond its own revenue.
01

What the company does

OTee builds a software-defined control layer for mission-critical industrial operations: virtual PLCs that replace proprietary controller hardware with software running on open, off-the-shelf hardware, plus the engineering tooling around it. It positions as the platform for the next generation of automation engineers, the control plane industrial AI will need.

02

Team & funding

Led by CEO Henrik Pedersen with CTO Radek Janik and a build-out across engineering and product (VP Engineering Tord Van Delft, VP Product Jan Land). €5.3M seed announced April 2026, led by North Ventures with Atlas SGR, joined by RunwayFBU, Superangel and Antler; amplified by Grishin Robotics' network. No Series A announced.

What the public record does not disclose

Named customers and deployment counts are not public ("trusted across industries" is company language, not evidence). Certification posture for safety-critical control (IEC 61131/61508) is the key diligence question in this category.
